Aryana is solid coal black with 4 generations of black and silver grey in her background, including her famous grandsires Request the Best and Wiki Wiki. She was ready to breed last summer so we paired her with our incredible Lucero and the odds are very good that she will throw a black or grey cria with Lu's wonderful fleece characteristics (go to Lu's page and check out his crias). Aryana's price includes a complementary breeding to any CGA herdsire, including Lucero, Igon (CL9 Altair & Yupanqui) or Tavares Caliente (Danko, Royal Fawn & Yupanqui).
Aryana's dam, Tess, is the kind of production dam everyone dreams of owning. She is an easy breeder and birther, as well as an excellent mother, and has produced many ribbon winners in colors ranging from black to grey to fawn and brown. Aryana has the personality and presence that we have come to expect from all Tess' crias -- curious, friendly and totally endearing. Chances are excellent that she will inherit Tess' wonderful mothering skills as well.
Aryana's sire, Request the Silver, is a handsome medium silver grey full Chilean out of AC Lady Godiva and Request the Best, winner of 16 blue ribbons! Quest has good character, fineness and density, along with excellent conformation and presence. Better yet, his bloodlines are not often found in the West.

Tess has been a wonderful dam for us since we bought her as part of our foundation herd in 2002. She usually gets pregnant on the first try, has trouble-free pregnancies and very easy births. Her cria are big and healthy, able to stand and nurse within an hour and gain weight steadily. On top of that, they all have great personalities and eye-catching good looks.
If Tess sounds like the kind of production dam everyone dreams of owning, you may be wondering why we are selling her. In fact, we’ve been asking that question ourselves! But the truth is, after producing some of our best alpacas, Tess’ bloodlines saturate our herd and we are now at the point where her daughters are starting their own breeding careers. Sadly, it is time for her to pass her wonderful genetics on to another lucky farm.
