Perhaps you are interested in raising alpacas, but want to start small to make sure it's a good fit before making a bigger investment. Or maybe you are a spinner and would love to have a small herd, as well as keep your grass trimmed. Or your teen is interested in starting a 4H project and would like to have a couple of unique, earth-friendly camelids to raise and show.
If so, we are pleased to offer 2 boys who would be suitable for fiber production, pets, or 4H projects. These boys weren't quite up to our standards for herdsires, but that doesn't mean they don't have a purpose in life! They have very nice fiber, get along well with each other, and are looking for another good home!
Aragon is 2.5 years old, with very unique coloring. His blanket is bay black with good staple length and he just won 2nd place at the 2007 AOBA Handcrafter's Spin-off. His full sister, Cedar Glen's LaVaronera, recently sold for $19,000. Aragon is not gelded, and if interested, this boy may be upgraded to junior herdsire status for an extra $700.00. Gelding can be handled here at buyer's expense. If purchased as a fiber/pet/4H boy, his ARI papers will not be released until he is gelded.
Tre is a handsome white gelding with a delightful personality. Curious and friendly, he is comfortable in any surroundings.
Tre and Aragon have received the best care possible, with regularly-scheduled wormings and shots, including the West Nile vaccine. They have also been tested for BVDV and the results were negative. We would be happy to provide their health records, if you are interested in purchasing these great guys.
